Wednesday afternoons are usually quite at school because classes end at 1 p.m. Students leave the school earlier than usual and silence overtakes the school building.
However, this Wednesday was quite different than usual: It was a crowded, busy and noisy day, and we enjoyed every minute of it.
First of all, there was a social gathering for students of English prep program. They met Erasmus+ exchange students from different parts of the world such as Brasil and Poland. It gave them the chance to meet foreign students, learn about their cultures and practise English of course. It was nice to see groups of students chatting in English, playing music together or even dancing. Meanwhile, students from German prep program were involved in a competition organized by Goethe Institute. They did activities in small groups and won little prizes. At the same time in TV Room 1, a small group of students from French prep program were doing an activity about a short movie they watched.
The school got busier when Özdemir Çakacak, Governor of Eskişehir, Naci Gündoğan, Anadolu University Rector, and the vice rectors paid an unexpected visit to our school. They had a small tour in our big school building, talked to students and got information about the school facilities.
Yes, it was a different Wednesday!
